Recommendations From ‘Locals’ To Make Your Beach Time Even B-E-T-T-E-R

Pontoon Rentals

  • For our annual pontoon adventure we use Blue Crab Water Sports. Great parking lot, nice boats, helpful staff. 850.218.5504

    Easy Date Night (Kid-Free)

  • We live in Miramar Beach so we love grabbing a bite at Camille’s when we can escape without our kids. It’s close to us, yummy & fresh food, relaxing vibe, and not too fancy while still being nicer than flip flops and a beach cover-up - Ha! 850.337.8860

    Roof-Top Bar (Kid-Free)

  • Drive over to Sandestin and visit Hotel Effie. Head up to the rooftop to grab a drink, listen to live music, play some outdoor games, and enjoy 360 degree views. Our favorite time is right at sunset. No cost to park (as long as you don’t valet) or get in.

    Worship Service

  • We attend Destiny Worship Center (Miramar Beach campus) and would love you to join us while you’re in town. Shoreline in downtown Destin is an amazing body of believers, too, if you’re staying on that side of town. Good News United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa Beach is also a wonderful place to worship if you enjoy a slightly more traditional style of service.

Baytowne Wharf (Kids Will Love!) in Sandestin

  • The Baytowne Wharf is free to visit and all our kids love going, the younger ones and the teens. There are shops, a pretty pier, restaurants, rides, a huge playground, a pond to feed fish, ropes courses for all ages, concerts, bars, and more. A super fun way to spend an afternoon with your fam!

    Playgrounds

  • If you’re staying in Destin or Miramar Beach, hop over to the Destin Commons and enjoy their playground and splash pad. The Crab Trap has a wonderful playground on the beach that anyone can walk up to and enjoy, even if you don’t eat there. Village Baptist Church also has a terrific playground with separate areas for older and younger kids to both stay entertained. Best of all, these are all free to enjoy!

    The Hub

  • There’s always something happening at The HUB on 30a! From Funk and Jazz to Jam and Americana, they bring world-class live music to Santa Rosa Beach for incredible nights and weekends with friends and family. And grab ice cream or a burger while you watch family-friendly movies under the stars.
